Brendan McKeever & Mark Gregory

Mark Gregory has his roots in Blues music. As a youngster growing up in Somerset in the English West Country, his staple musical diet consisted of Blind Lemon, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, and all the other old great blues legends. Mark moved to Ireland in the early 1970's, and was fortunate to live in an area that was home to a style of music often referred to as The Irish Traditional Blues. The East Clare style of Traditional music is unique among Irish regional styles. The geography of the region, the changing landscape, the weaving, twisty roads, the humour and easy-going nature of the people of County Clare, is all reflected in this laid-back musical style.

Mark also is a gifted songwriter and guitarist, and brings with him many of his own compositions. He also regularly tours Europe and Scandinavia with his band, ‘Chronicles’, a musical partnership with Trondheim-based musician, John Heitman.

Mark and Brendan form the basis of The Irish Trancenditional Blues Band; an eclectic mix of Irish Traditional, Blues, along with classic popular songs from years gone by. They have been playing together for over 20 years, and they call on all that vast experience, and more, to bring you an unforgettable musical evening.
